The Burlington Field Hockey team came out firing against Woburn. Burlington kept the ball in Woburn’s circle for most of the first half. Woburn scored first, however, 18 minutes into the first half. Soon thereafter, Holly Brouillette put an amazing shot in the net off an assist from Jill Mazure (at 20:44). The end result was a 1-1 tie.
The midfield, Stacy Howe, Jill Mazure, and Kelly Howe worked well together, and was led by Jillian Mazure. On defense, Melissa Baumgartner played another great game with great help from Mary Broza and Sara Walsh. Goalkeeper Karishma Soni made 5 great saves.
The forward line was led by Holly Brouillette. Kerri Biagotti played heart and soul, and Caroline Peterson utilized some amazing stick skill. Trusha Bhatt also played well for the Red Devil offense.
BHS Field Hockey is now 2-2-2. Their next game is home Wednesday against Wakefield. Come out and see the girls play!!
